South Carolina Gamecocks use FanConnect HD for in-stadium HD TV
South Carolina Gamecocks use FanConnect HD for in-stadium HD TV.

Columbia, SC - The University of South Carolina has agreed to deploy the FanConnect HD private TV network solution from 10 Foot Wave as part of a rollout of College Gametime Network at Williams-Brice Stadium and Colonial Life Arena. The installation will be completed before the first home football game September 17th.

FanConnect HD will integrate the digital in-venue video feeds, live stats, an integrated scoreboard and other fan-engaging content with sponsorship messaging. The network will be seen on HD TVs in suites, club levels and concourses in the venues.

In addition to providing the most comprehensive live stats and game updates available, the network will create additional inventory for Gamecock IMG Sports Marketing. "We know there is already demand for the new digital sponsorship assets this is bringing to Williams-Brice Stadium and Colonial Life Arena" says Liz McMillan, General Manager of Gamecock IMG Sports Marketing.

The entire project is only expected to take two weeks to implement, making it possible to have in place for fans for the first home game. "FanConnect HD doesn't require any upgrades to the existing infrastructure" says Brett Crossley, VP Marketing for 10 Foot Wave. "This allows CGN to run as an HD TV channel over the existing cable system. The existing TVs simply tune in the new channel."
